Head of OSCE Centre in Ashgabat spoke at International Conference

Tbilisi hosts an exhibition in honour of the Turkmen Carpet Holiday

The event was held in the gallery ‘Akhundov House’ and was dedicated to the Holiday of Turkmen Carpet, the IIC of Turkmenistan reported. The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on the results of his working visit to Iran

During the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on 23 May, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov presented a report on the results of the 18th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Economic Cooperation. This is reported by the state news agency TDH. According to Meredov, within the framework of the event special attention was paid to the issues of supply and transit of Turkmen gas, expansion of cooperation in the electric power industry, implementation of the project of the Turkmen section of the Mary-Mashhad transmission line and construction of the motorway Gumdag - Etrek - Iranian border. The sides also agreed to establish cross-border trade zones, prepare a work plan for 2026-2028 and intensify business ties, including through exhibitions, forums and a business council. The sides touched upon the prospects of cooperation in the Turkmen-Iranian education, science, health care, sports and within the framework of UNESCO. Deputy Prime Minister noted that a protocol was signed following the meeting. During the visit, the Turkmen delegation held talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Supreme Spiritual Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei. The Iranian President confirmed participation in the International Forum in Ashgabat on 12 December. Summing up the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of strengthening good-neighbourly relations with Iran and instructed to continue systematic work on the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the Commission.


New park opened in Ashgabat

On 23 May, a new park ‘Shapak’ was opened in Choganly residential area located in Bagtyyarlyk district of Ashgabat. Turkmenistan will celebrate World Bicycle Day

During the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on 23 May, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bayramgul Orazdurdyyeva presented a plan of events timed to the World Bicycle Day.
