A delegation from Turkmenistan took part in a conference in Khanty-Mansiysk
28.06.2025A delegation from Turkmenistan took part in the VII International Conference ‘Information and Communication in the Digital Age’, which was held from 25 to 27 June in Khanty-Mansiysk as part of the XVI International IT Forum and UNESCO's intergovernmental programme ‘Information for All’. The conference was attended by about 120 delegates from more than 40 countries, including experts in the field of IT, politics, scientists, journalists, as well as representatives of educational and cultural institutions. The Turkmen delegation included Esen Hojaguliyev, a lecturer at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of Turkmen public organisations Begmuhammet Meredov and Kadyr Amandurdyev. Turkmenistan and UKEF discuss prospects for economic cooperation

Byashimova and a delegation from the British export finance agency UK Export Finance (UKEF), led by Regional Director for Turkey, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Shebnem Alp. Turkmen wrestlers won four medals at the Asian U23 Youth Championships
27.06.2025Turkmenistan showed excellent results at the Asian Wrestling Championships for athletes under 23 years of age in Vietnam, winning one silver and three bronze medals. More than 200 athletes from 15 countries participated in the competition. This was reported by the online publication ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’. The main hero of the tournament was 18-year-old Alp Arslan Begenjov (weight category up to 79 kg), who won a silver medal for the team in freestyle wrestling. The Turkmenistan national team won seven medals at the competition in Beijing

Modernisation of ‘Temir Baba’ will optimise traffic on the border with Turkmenistan
27.06.2025By the end of 2025, a modernised ‘Temir Baba’ road border crossing point is planned to be put into operation on the border between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
