Particular attention was paid to creating comfortable conditions for the families of border guards: the new apartments are equipped with modern furniture, kitchen equipment, heating and cooling systems. The President of Turkmenistan handed over the keys to new cars and noted that caring for military personnel and their families is one of the priorities of state policy. The opening of the complex coincided with the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and became a symbol of efforts to strengthen the country's defence capabilities, as well as confirmation of the course towards improving social conditions for military personnel.
The President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution on holding the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025) in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone from 18 to 19 September. During the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council on 11 September, the delegation of Turkmenistan raised the issue of the role of neutrality in modern international relations. As part of the EU-funded International Trade Centre (ITC) project ‘Turkmenistan: Enhancing Trade Resilience and Integration’, a study tour to Samarkand was organised for women entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan. The first two days were held in the format of a practical seminar in conjunction with the International Association of Businesswomen of Uzbekistan. The focus was on mentoring, educational opportunities, interaction with government agencies and creating an enabling environment for women's entrepreneurship. The culmination was the ‘100+ Women's Leadership’ meeting, which brought together more than 200 women leaders from the region to discuss the impact of women on the economy, the digitalisation of business and innovative forms of intergovernmental cooperation. Turkmen women entrepreneurs presented their initiatives and learned about successful projects in Uzbekistan, which provided new ideas and inspiration. The final day was devoted to B2B meetings, where women entrepreneurs from the textile, education, IT, logistics and social sectors discussed the prospects for joint projects. Turkmenistan has condemned Israel's strikes on a residential neighbourhood in Doha, considering them a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and international law. The Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan held a meeting with Oliver Stolpe, Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Central Asia. In August, Turkmenistan hosted a number of significant international events, according to the state news agency TDH. The main event of the month was the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone. The forum brought together leaders and delegations from more than 100 countries, representatives of international organisations and businesses. During the conference and accompanying meetings, issues of sustainable development, regional cooperation and strengthening international ties were discussed. Negotiations was held between the Turkmen leadership and the heads and representatives of a number of countries, as well as international organisations. Topics such as energy, transport, trade, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation were raised. Particular attention was paid to strengthening partnerships in Central Asia, developing the trilateral format of Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan, and interacting with international organisations.
