During his visit to the United States, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres. At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of State signed the UN Guest Book and took a joint photo with the Secretary-General, according to the state news agency TDH. Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated António Guterres on the start of the 80th session of the General Assembly and the 80th anniversary of the UN, and also conveyed greetings from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The UN Secretary-General, in turn, noted Turkmenistan's contribution to addressing regional and global issues and thanked it for organising the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. Schoolgirl from Turkmenistan wins Grand Prix at World Festival of Creativity

The Moscow World Trade Centre hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the World Creativity Festival ‘Children of the World: time to be friends’, organised by the Open Hearts Foundation and the Union of Fathers. This was reported by the IIC of Turkmenistan. The Grand Prix of the above-mentioned competition was awarded to Aziza Byashimova, a student of the Art School in Turkmenabat. The festival brought together participants from 70 countries aged 5 to 15. The competition accepted works of various genres, from landscapes and portraits to stories about family, culture and dreams for the future. The victory of the Turkmen schoolgirl coincided with an important date: the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the declaration of 2025 as the ‘International Year of Peace and Trust’.


Turkmen students successfully competed at the WSDG 2025 competition in Malaysia

Students from the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan successfully participated in the ‘World Sustainable Development Goal Challenge’ (WSDG 2025) competition organised by Multimedia University and the Malaysian Young Scientists Organisation. This was reported by the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’. More than 2,100 scientific works by students from 15 countries participated in the competition. The gold medal and the ‘WSDG Innovation Grand Award’ went to Suleymanmuhammet Shamuhammedov, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Chemical Technology, for his work ‘Scientific Foundations for the Production of Green Cement for Sustainable Development,’ dedicated to environmentally friendly methods of cement production and efficient energy use. The gold medal and prize ‘Best Innovation in Sustainable Development’ was awarded to the work ‘Innovative Technology for Producing Pure Gypsum from Phosphogypsum—an Industrial Waste’, prepared by Aymyrat Halnazarov, a third-year student of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, and Jemal Sharipova, a third-year student of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering. The study proposed an environmentally friendly and economically viable method of processing industrial waste into building materials. The scientific supervisor of the national team, Atamyrat Altyev, Candidate of Technical Sciences, made a significant contribution to these successes.
