The Fine Arts Exhibition Centre is hosting a personal exhibition dedicated to the 70th birthday of renowned Turkmen sculptor Abdymuhammet Oramadov. The exhibition showcases the artist's versatility, including both his sculptures and paintings. This was reported by the online publication ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’. Oramadov, a graduate of the Saint Petersburg Repin Academy of Arts, has taught at the Children's Art School named after Bashim Nuraly for over 25 years. One of the key events marking the end of the year was a concert organised with the participation of the chamber orchestra of the Maya Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory, teachers, students and masters of the arts. The programme opened with Aman Agajikov's ‘Solemn Overture’. This year, the musical community of Turkmenistan celebrates the 70th anniversary of the birth of Hudaynazar Amangeldiyev, a national artist, talented composer, teacher and researcher whose work has become an important part of the country's national culture. His multifaceted activities encompass composition, teaching and scientific research, leaving a bright mark on the history of Turkmen music. This was reported by IIC. His research in the field of choral art and Turkmen musical tradition, reflected in his dissertation and publications, has made a significant contribution to the study of national culture. As noted by his colleagues, including conservatory teacher Enejan Nuryeva, the master's main mission has always been to sing the praises of his native land through music and to educate students devoted to the arts. Today, his works continue to be performed, uniting generations and preserving the love for Turkmen musical heritage.
On 6 June, Turkmenistan held celebrations dedicated to International Russian Language Day and the 226th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. The main event was the laying of flowers at the bust of the great poet, which was attended by students from the A.S. Pushkin joint Turkmen-Russian secondary school. This was reported by the IIC. Young readers gave a heartfelt performance of the classic's poems, highlighting the importance of his work. On 3 June 2025, a large-scale cultural event ‘Masters of Innovation and Art: Contributions of the Turkic World to Global Science and Culture’ was held in Berlin. The forum was organised with the active participation of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Germany together with TURKSOY and diplomatic missions of other Turkic-speaking countries. The film ‘Magtymguly Pyragy’, created in collaboration between filmmakers from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, won the audience award in the feature film category at the 7th ECG Film Festival, which took place in London from 22 to 27 May. A memorable concert dedicated to the work of legendary composer Ennio Morricone was held at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theatre. Italian trumpeter Nello Salza, together with the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan conducted by Rasul Klychev, presented a programme of famous film soundtracks. Bakshi and storytellers from Turkmenistan took part in the VIII World Festival ‘Epics of the Peoples of the World’, which was held from 28 to 30 May in Kyrgyzstan. On 3 June this year, the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan hosted the grand opening of an exhibition dedicated to Chinese horse breeding culture and the art of white porcelain, known as ‘Dehua’. At the opening ceremony, commemorative gifts were exchanged.
